My writing career began at age 12 when my hometown newspaper hired me to produce a weekly column about school activities. I look back at those yellowed clippings with fond nostalgia.

Fast-forward through high school writing competitions, a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and writing both a master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation. After being edited by a gang of brutal professors, I lost touch with the desire to be creative.

That changed in 2014 when I became part of the duo behind the pen name Juliette Harper. In 2021, after more than 25 novels and novellas under that name, my partner and I decided to branch out into solo projects.

I began with the Mattie Tucker cozy paranormal mysteries. This year, you’ll meet two new heroines that have joined my pack, Maxie Carter (to be published under the pen name JT Westbrook) and Jym Ann Adair (a private Patreon serial).

Beyond all that, I’m a paranormal-obsessed, cat-loving, small-town gal who just returned to home after 40 years in the big city. I’m having a lot of fun reconnecting with my roots, and I’m looking forward to sharing my new writing journey with you.
